Doyle will pick a winner from your requests, and we’ll make a video of Doyle and the boys performing the song just for you! My favorite Quicksilver song is Mighty Mississippi.
My absolute favorite song is “Help is on the way”. My Nanny was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive stage 4 uterine cancer called MMMT. There is no cure. She is on her third different kind of chemo and just got out of the hospital with a severe bowel obstruction. This song is what gets me and family through. I couldn’t tell you how many hundreds of times I play this song just to remind me that no matter what God is here and help is on the way no matter what we are facing in the time to come. Thanks to Doyle Lawson and his band for such wonderful and uplifting music. Much love and prayers to all of you! Love you guys!

“The HOBO SONG” that Lou Reid used to sing very well during some of their old live shows when they played clubs like the Fiddler’s Cove in Greensboro, NC back when they started with the original Quicksilver back in ’79 and ’80
“Ill Be With You” Hard to pick just one but that to me was & still is one of the most beautiful songs Ive ever heard!

My favorite is “Help Is On The Way.” It has such beautiful fiddle and dobro, and love the vocals too. My son (who plays fiddle) and my daughter (who plays bass and sings) are working on learning it.
It’s not a DL&QS song, but “River of Death” from The BGAB Volume 1. Do it A Cappela, Doyle on the lead.

Any Song that Doyle does has a stamp of “Excellence from a Master” on it. “Four Walls” has some of the best harmony ever recorded on that song. Matter of fact, I think we’ll put that on the show next week just because.

Definitely has to be “She’s Walking Through My Memory.” The original recording with triple fiddles (I think!) and Russell Moore on lead vocals is incredibly hard to beat. I also love the recording on the anniversary DVD! It’s definitely the best!

I’ve listened to 7 CDs and spent all day trying
to choose one song! “In Your Arms”, “Light on My Feet”
and “There Is A God” probably top my list.

Julie Ann is my all time fav, but I love all his songs.
I know I am too late for the contest, but my all time favorite song from DLQ on the “Winding Through Life” project is “Lord, It’s just another Hill.” This song seems to give me the strength and determination to keep climbing when everything seems to be going wrong.
I’ve been away so I’m late to the party as well. Just too many great songs to narrow down to one. So my vote would be a sneak peek from the new album. I know, I’m a rule breaker.
