Doyle: How can I get up with you about booking you to sing at our church?
Thanks:
Your passion for your music has been obvious for decades. For those of us who have followed and enjoyed your art, your commitment to your craft has been unwaivering and has grown richer along the way. Watching you on stage @ Pickin’ in the Panhandle last Sunday proves how well deserved this honor is.
Congratulations Doyle.
You’ve been an inspiration to me!
I’m looking forward to many more years of the Best Bluegrass has to offer; Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.
May God Bless You.

Congratulations Dowhen Jaiyle, one of my fondest memories is a show that you did at Claiborne County Tn several years ago when Jamie Daley was first getting started. I guess the home folks always bring out the best in a man. Wow what a show that was.
Here are some things folks have been saying about this fine video…
“Awesome”. Almost made me cry because we can’t come to shows as we have in the past and everything just seemed so familiar……like I was there again. Love to all. Alice
I saw you during all those years, and it was great to revisit through this fine and tasteful photography. You made my hall of fame a long time ago, and you will always be there. But I believe you know that, so I will tell you a story.
Voltaire had been a bit critical of monks, and had incurred the wrath of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. It warned him to recant some of his writings under threat that its Holy Office might decide to burn him alive. So Voltaire wrote a long and effusive article praising monks and all their works. As he closed this fountain of praise he added,”furthermore, they smell good.”
I feel the same way about you, Doyle. You’ve been a good boy, and you smell good.

WOW, what a great tribute to the many years of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. It made cold chills come over me as I watched it for the first time, & remember going to Salem, Mo. to see the original Band for the first time. Doyle, you know we have known each other since you came to Eminence, Mo. with the Country Gentlemen. Ken Seaman tells me he has that Show on tape, if you would want a copy of it.
Kathryn & I will see you at the Awards Show on Sept. 27.
Love you Man!
Alvin
PS; Andy’s Wife, Barbara, passed away on Sept. 10. I had told you she had Breast Cancer for 6 years. She was a great Lady!
