Carl White

Carl WhiteCarl was born on March 10, 1980, in Richlands, VA, and still lives in that neck of the woods today. Carl comes from a family that sang gospel music full time for 20 years. He has two sisters, Jeanette and Carol. They are musicians as well.
Carl has two daughters. Kelsi Breann is 12 years old. She is a great singer and plays both guitar and piano, and is learning the bass. Haley Shae is 6 years old. Haley loves to sing, play with her dolls and really enjoys the outdoors. Carl loves spending time with his family when he’s not on the road. He likes to swim and also loves computers. His favorite colors are black and blue, but he has no favorite food because he can’t rule anything out!
He started playing drums when he was 3 years old, and now plays multiple instruments. Carl joined Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver for the first time in August 2007, when he played bass and sang tenor. He now plays drums for the band.
Carl’s early musical influences were the Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, the Hinsons, the Singing Cookes, the Spencers, the Easter Brothers and the MacGlothlins. Before Doyle Lawson& Quicksilver, Carl played with The Whites, Chosen Generation, the Nippers, the Jeff Treece Band, and Young Harmony.
